Ms. Chhoki Sherpa, the Trekking & Expedition guide of Gurkha Encounters has participated in a three-day Free Medical Volunteering camp in Ghacho, Kaski from 25 December – 27 December 2018. The Free Medical Service was provided by Korean doctors where Chhoki facilitated the entire programme as an interpreter.
The medical camp provided general medical service, dental check-up and acupuncture from which more than 600 local patients were benefited. Chhoki said that the Korean doctors were amazed to see that most of the villagers in Ghacho were healthier than the villagers in other countries where they have already conducted the medical camp.
