You better call it off-the-beaten trail as this trail is less treaded by foreign tourist. This so far is the reason that you will be able to observe the needy village in the sense that they are educationally backward, people here face difficulty in having safe drinking water supply, the people don't know much about the importance of having safe kitchen, clean toilet etc. To talk about the modern sign of civilization like internet, email, computer is just beyond their reach.
The itinerary as attached below is formed with the help of the local active member who is trying their best to promote the area for tourism so that the local people can get the benefits directly out of it by making their village home-stay destination. As of now the region as in the itinerary is not so remote and you see no tourist at all. During your trek you will not be going above average 3000m and hence there is very less chance of getting altitude sickness if you are trekking for the first time.
The visit to model village of Sirubari before the trek is to show how and what an ideal village look like. You can see how well it is developed itself into an ideal village that has all the means of communication, the people know more about the sanitation, drainage, education and boasts of well stocked health post. It's like every individual in the village is well aware of the importance of keeping their culture and tradition intact in the course of their search to turn their village well maintained and developed in every aspects of village life. You will have chance to home stay here in any of the welcoming host villager. In fact you can be treated like the family members by eating together with them if you have time you can walk together in their field and other daily chores to make you understand how daily village life goes on.
All the villages that are incorporated in this itinerary are accessible and we know the locals in the area and therefore we can get good co-operation in the operation of the whole project. Few villages in the itinerary like Barpak are well developed one and you can have home-stay there. But other villages during trekking do not have the facility to welcome home-stay perhaps due to congested room and therefore you will be having our own camping staff with tents and cooking crews. Wherever there is possible you will home-stay but in other places you will set up your tent.
In the whole trek you walk past the villages inhabited by the mixed communities of Brahmin, Chhettri, Newar, Tamang, Sherpa, Ghale and Gurung at the lower part and as you trek further you will find Tamang villages with monastery and also Sherpa people living together with them in harmony. And you walk past villages that are completely inhabited by Gurung and some other are inhabited by Ghale community only which means you will have chance to see the different culture of the different communities that come across during the trek.
In terms of trek grade it's easy to moderate having to walk up and down and on the ridge slope at the higher point with good views of Himalayas. Some section of the trail are rudimentarily made, one section passes through the landslide area where there is copper mining and in such areas close attention should be made while walking on the trail. The places like Sirandada, Barpak and Gorkha, old capital will be the highlights of our trek.
On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our staff, who will escort you to the hotel, where our Sherpa guide or the office staff will give you a brief orientation about the hotel, Kathmandu itself, trekking, and the do's and don’ts of the area.
