This is a soft trek that starts near Pokhara and offers beautiful mountain views complimented by a panorama of lush, green terraced hills where the viewing by itself is extremely good for overall health. It gained its name ‘Royal trek’ because Prince Charles of the United Kingdom hiked this trail and made a famous statement that went on record by saying ”this was the best and most healthy walk he ever did in his life”, along with an entourage of 90 guests, camp followers and staff in 1980. This is not a heavily trekked trail which allows the beauty of this secluded area to be fully appreciated. This trek is designed for those people who have time constraints and are interested in seeing Nepalese rural life and ecstatic mountain sceneries within the shortest possible time. Make sure you go on this venture with loads of reels for your camera.
On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our staff, who will escort you to the hotel, where our Sherpa guide or the office staff will give you a brief orientation about the hotel, Kathmandu itself, trekking, and the do's and don’ts of the area. They will also review any additional information that you might require while in Nepal, including an overview of the next day's sightseeing tour. In the evening, you will enjoy a complimentary welcome dinner at one of the finest traditional Nepalese restaurants in Kathmandu, with the necessary transfer to and from the hotel by taxi, bus. After your breakfast, you will precede to Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you will tour the ancient palace, the temple of Kumari, hailed as the living goddess of Nepal, Hanuman Dhoka and Kasthamandav Temple with a guide knowledgeable about Nepalese history, architecture, and religion. From there, you will proceed by taxi, bus to the Buddhist site, Swoyambhunath Stupa, also known as the "Monkey Temple" because of its lively troops of resident monkeys. You will then visit Pashupatinath Temple, the holiest shrine for Hindus, situated on the banks of the holy Bagmati River, a popular cremation site. Before returning to the hotel, you will visit Boudhnath Stupa, a Buddhist pilgrimage center and home to many colorful gompas, or monasteries. Once back at the hotel, you will receive a briefing about the trek and have a chance to meet your guides and ask any last minute questions before tomorrow morning's departure. Overnight in hotel
After an early breakfast, you will then travel by a Tourist Coach towards the scenic Pokhara highway. This is an interesting drive through the foothills of the Himalaya. The road has been greatly improved in recent years. The drive continues with several stops on route before Pokhara. On reaching Pokhara transfer to the Hotel with enough time in the afternoon for a stroll around the beautiful Phewa Lake side. Overnight in Hotel
Today after breakfast, you will drive for half an hour to Bijayapur Khola, trek starting point. Initially you will start our walk for about an hour through flat paddy fields and cross the river. After crossing the river the trail starts to ascend to Kalikasthan. Lunch will be served midway through the climb. After arriving at Kalikasthan, you will rest for some time and after that explore the surrounding areas. This offers exquisite views of mountains and Pokhara city. Overnight at Teahouse

After breakfast, you’ll start walking along a forested ridge, passing Thulokot and then onto Mati Thana. You can stopover for a lunch in this village as there are few teashops. Then the trail starts to gradually ascend to Naudanda, and continues until we reach the Gurung village of Shanklung where you will be spending a night. During the trek you will be walking on the ridge of the mountain which offers a decent view of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal. Similarly we’ll be exploring many villages, its locals and the rhododendron forests. Overnight at Teahouse

The Himalayan skyline changes as the route taken will be shrouded by mountains like Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, Manasulu and Himalchuli. The trail descends steeply to the south side of the hill passing by an ancient tree with a chautara (stone platform), several tea shops and a police check post. From there, you’ll proceed on, following the Royal Trek route and ascend to Chisopani (coldwater) where you’ll be spending the night. There is a temple located on a high knoll above the village. The place offers splendid views of the mountains in the vicinity. Overnight at Teahouse

You will start off by descending down a ridge and stone steps which leads you into a small valley. Continuing along the Royal trek stream, you will pass through a rice field and then make a final ascent to the ridge that separates Begnas and Rupa Lake. The route to the Begnas Bazaar is wide path that is frequently used by local people. You’ll spend some hours boating in Begnas Lake and then will drive onto Pokhara. After a wonderful time in the mountains, Pokhara is certainly great spot to relax after the trek and swap stories with fellow trekkers. After breakfast, you will board the bus for about 06 hour’s scenic journey back to Kathmandu. Overnight in Hotel
